So after I wrote the David Bowie post, I had an interesting conversation with Mimi about what it is to be cool. It turns out it’s a lot easier to think of cool men than women. Women tend to be sultry, kind, quirky, interesting, and lots of other things, but cool is not something we use to describe women as often as men*.
